all you need is dulse

By Emma May 7 1

I swear to goddess, some days I am shit hot at raw food making and today is one of those days 🙂  Got up super early this morning, partly because of a bird that lives outside the bedroom window and loves the sound of it’s own voice (?) at 5am (Rod does a great impression of it – wish I could upload it on the blog) and partly cos my cats kept throwing themselves at the window trying to get out.  Decided it was a domestic goddess day and I’d make a decadent breakfast and some goji chocolate!

I blended 2 cups almond milk (made last night) with 3 tablespoons of choc & hemp butter spread and 1 tablespoon of honey and poured it on top of 3 heaped tablespoons of chia seeds.  Gave it a good stir then left it to soak.

Then made Oh my Goji chocolate from Raw Magic – about 1 cup coconut butter melted and added to 1 cup cacao powder, 1/2 cup gojis, 1.5 tablespoons honey, 1/2 cup mesquite – think that was it?  Left it to set in the fridge while I made my GREEEEEN juice.

2 cucumbers, 1 head celery, 1/3 burdock root, 1/2 lemon, knob ginger, 2 handfuls of dandelion and sorrel leaves

lovely stuff 🙂

juicy juicy juicy juicy juicy juicy

who loves to clean the juicer? noooooo

Enjoyed my chia pudding with cacao nibs and sprinkled cacao powder then decided it would be just lovely to add some almond milk in to make it extra milky.  Man I was so impressed with myself 🙂

For lunch had a yumzo salad with avo, fennel and DULSE and green smoothie crackers with a lime juice and hemp oil dressing.  I bloody LOVE fennel and dulse.

DULSE!!

I understand why the chocolate is called OH MY GOJI – it is by far the best choc I’ve ever made.  Rod absolutely LOVED it – said it wasn’t as bitter as the other stuff I’ve made…yeah thanks for telling me Rod 🙂

ohhhhhh my goji

I’m so super excited as my Raw Food Classes are now in Glasgow Strathclyde Uni’s prospectus!  Amazing!  I can’t wait to get in to it.  I’ve finally finished the workbook and now just got to do a few dry runs of the class.  Have offered some close friends to come round and do the class at my house to test the recipes out on ‘normal’ people!

Here is some pics of me and the husband with the Burdock root.  Seriously loving juicing the burdock – definitely noticing the GLOW a lot more 🙂

I’ve heard there are some baby coconuts on the go on the south-side of Glasgow so I’m off to check that out then go to the theatre with my bezzie.
Got some rebounding in today and hula hooping bare foot in the SUN woo!

Rebounding song of the day – this is ACE to rebound too
