Following on from yesterday’s blog post, here is Kat with part 2 of the union of yoga and raw foods.
I grew up in Australian suburbs in the 70’s where bbq’s were in high swing and eating meat wasn’t a huge deal and awareness of gov’t and industries and there foibles, well I was too young to be worried and just playing outside all the time.
The reason I mentioned bbq’s in the 70’s was because when I was eating meat, I can look back at how depressed I was in the 80’s and 90’s, how lost I was and how angry and anxious I was with the world. I was attracting a negative world from my anger. It wasn’t only eating meat but that certainly was a part of it. Through yoga sadhana – self-study, discernment, awareness and intuition I have chosen my path to be positive, to be surrounded by positive at all levels, this doesn’t mean negative is not thrown at me, I choose though to make things positive and to learn by it. This is my Freedom.
The times we live in now are crazy and more and more people are feeling lost, lonely and unsure. We live outwardly and materially for instant happiness, gratification and satisfaction, this lasts a few minutes and disappears and we want more. We need to turn this around, less ego and more intuitive guided action and listen to what the Universe is asking us, which is too look inside our self and start to become aware of our own truths, if we do this we will all help heal our selves as a race, Earth, connect more with other species and heal the times we live in; we need connection to each other through meditation, intuition, trust, love, speak and to see each other as though we were gods eyes. Small communites are growing into larger and loving communities which is great, and people power is in force and media less so. Its all good and its all coming.
Through my experience of eating raw food and practicing yoga I feel it has catapulted me forward to spiritually ascending on my journey and I am so grateful and most days I’m so grateful I’m overwhelmed I cry tears of joy from deep within; this is a raw feeling of pure love inside. This is what makes living a raw and yoga life combined so super special to me. I share with like-minded people, I’m meeting more amazing people which teaches me to love people more in this world, feeling less isolated and a lone, mixing the two is so far from boring more so than I ever imagined and has given me a journey similar to surfing a really beautiful, smooth, massive and amazing flowing wave and hearing that silence and stillness within the tube.
And through Raw Food – Meetups/ potlucks/ websites and sharing yoga I have met THE most beautiful and amazing people.
Yoga heals in all bodies – physically, mentally, energetically, emotionally and spiritually. Raw heals physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically and spiritually. I only know this from living it and for me, combined, this works so I feel connected, aware, abundant and full of love.
