The delightful Oliver and Sonya from Tonic Attack very kindly sent me a taster tester of their new range of Tonic Attack Wheatgrass & Broccoli Sprout Juices.
These handy little juices come in 7 packs of 33ml juice sachets, one for every day of the week, guaranteeing your recommended daily intake. All you have to do is shake, open and drink!
The packs don’t require to be put in the fridge and have a shelf life of 2 months or more due to the minimal oxidation that can take place in a little pouch! This is also what keeps the product so nutritionally sound, as if you’d just juiced it yourself but without the hassle of a juicer to go clean! 🙂
Wheatgrass juice is meant to be the MOTHER of nutrition. I used to attempt to grow and juice my own wheatgrass until I became overly bored with the whole faff and more often than not the grass would die off and I’d feel guilty and a bit hopeless 🙂
Broccoli sprout juice is the juice from 3-4 day old sprouted broccoli plants. Researchers have discovered that 3-day-old broccoli sprouts contain 10-100 times higher levels of sulforaphane (cancer fighting ingredient in cruciferous veggies) than do the corresponding mature plants. In fact, just one ounce of broccoli sprouts contain an equivalent amount of sulforaphane to one-and-a-half pounds of mature broccoli!
What’s great about these? Well, they’re produced using:
NO genetically modified material
NO unnatural chemical fertilizers
NO hidden additives
ONLY natural nutrients
ONLY safe gentle natural cleaning agents for the equipment

They’re also really handy to carry about, you don’t have to worry about them going off any time soon and they’re as good and fresh as if you just juiced the wheatgrass/sprouts yourself. At a very reasonable £13 per pack (including postage) you can’t get better.
As for the taste, well, I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised by the Broccoli sprout juice. One, because I expected it to be green and two, because it tastes rather sweet. It has added mint to sharpen the taste which I think probably mkaes it more palatable. I found it zingy and it perked me up no end!
The wheatgrass juice tasted errr, surprisingly just like wheatgrass juice! I won’t lie, wheatgrass is not my favourite thing to drink in the world but I know it’s amazing for my health so I still manage to glug it down.
I’d definitely recommend these sachets for people that are a bit busy (or lazy) but still want all the goodness of fresh, nutrtious juice!
