Woop this is just a quickie cos i’m in the middle of writing my next book. Just took a notion on Friday night to start writing it…as you do. This is my second book and obviously it is raw food related. Can’t give you the title yet as that will give the whole game away but needless to say I’m SO VERY DAMN BLOODY excited about it!
Classes starting tomorrow, mixture of excitement and nerves obviously this being my first proper class but looking forward to it. Got three classes on tomorrow! Gonna be knack-ered. Better stock up on the green juice before I go.
ANYWAY, got a gallon of funky sauerkraut from Red23. So glad they’ve got kraut back in stock again. They have a whole range of flavours, I got the chilli one and it’s bloody marvellous. Sauerkraut is a fermented food product which is so stupidly good for you because it helps promote good bacteria/microflora which improves digestion, boosts your immune system and energy levels and can help take care of ‘bad’ bacteria. Awesome stuff plus it tastes bloody amazing! Here is a truly outstanding vid on the link between bacteria and your immune system (mind-blowing info) by the gorge Daniel Vitalis on raw food world tv show. If I wasn’t married to Rod I would’ve married Daniel Vitalis. There’s something so attractive about his level of knowledge! Buttt he started eating raw meat and that kinda put me off him so Rod’s safe 🙂 Seriously tho, check this out.
So I enjoyed this with sprouted sauerkraut crackers from the ah-mazing Viva Pure as well as a yummy tomato sauce, zingy guacamole and some cuke. Major kraut fest or what?
Tomato sauce recipe – I LOVE this – 2 toms, 1 red pepper, knob ginger, 1tsp miso, 1 garlic, 1tbsp oil, 1tbsp acv – food process until chunky. Gorgefest.com
Yesterday I had a proper raw fest with my mum after buying half of Grassroots which has now started stocking a whole range of raw food delicacies in their deli counter. Absolutely awesome. I bought some their raw samosas, spring rolls (mum’s fave), pizza, seaweed salad and some peppermint choc brownies. So gorgeous! This is such a positive step to have a gorgeous place selling raw food in Glasgow!
That’s been my magical weekend so far. Hope you’re having a great one!
