So I was chatting to my friend Lisa last night. She’s a real live lizard person but don’t let that put you off, she talks some good shit. We were talking about how raw food diets evolve over time, I talked about that here. My diet is looking a bit different right now, for a number of reasons I won’t even bore you with. But when we were talking about it I realised that I’d forgotten the most important thing…
And I’ve come to realise that my big why isn’t what I thought it was.
My big why is the feeling.
The buzz.
The high.
The plugged in to the mains, full-on, ninja unicorn, ass-kicking MOJO I feel when I eat lots of raw food.
That is the essence of why I eat this way.
This is what I crave.
This is what I desire.
This is why I do what I do, drink what I drink, eat what I eat.
And that’s the first thing that disappears for me when the cooked food creeps in. It’s my first indicator that I’m veering too far off my path.
BUT
It’s also what draws me back. It’s my life-line. My golden thread back out the labyrinth.
You see, your big why is more important than you think. It’s what’ll drive you back to eating right for your body when it seems like all is lost. It’s always there.
Your reason, whatever it is, might change over time and that’s ok. Perhaps you’re so engrossed in where you’re at now you haven’t given it a second thought?
This is about CONSCIOUS awareness.
I’d encourage you to rediscover your big why.
Take comfort in it and really hone in on how it feels. Because this is the first step back to a healthier happier you…
