Raw Liberty Recipe Book competition

By Emma Jan 21 17

The wonderful Lisa Simpson of Raw Liberty has kindly offered to give away a copy of her latest raw food recipe e-book ‘Raw Liberty at the Table for You and Your Not-So-Raw Partner‘ (worth £9.99) to one lucky winner.

This book is essential if you are a raw foodie living in a cooked home and would like delicious recipes that include raw and cooked components so that everyone leaves the dinner table satisfied.  The recipes featured in this book are based on recipes Lisa prepares at home, for herself and her ‘cooked’ family, and fall into three main categories:

· Some use the same or similar ingredients to the cooked version, for ease of shopping.

· Some provide a substantial raw side to a cooked dish

· Some use different ingredients but provide a visually similar or similar themed meal.

Not only will you win this fantastic book but I’ll also chuck in a copy of my e-book, Me Raw: You Cooked (worth £9.99) which talks about what happened in my own relationship when I went raw and how to overcome the challenges that arise when you live with a ‘cooked’ partner – haha sounds so ridiculous!

To be in with a chance of winning these 2 ebooks, just answer the following question:

The machine that raw foodies use to make crackers, biscuits and warm food is called a:

a) dehumidifier

b) dehydrator

c) dehomogeniser

All you have to do is leave your name and answer in the comments below.  All correct entries will be placed in a hat and the winner picked randomly…perhaps by the dog! 🙂 The winner will be announced on 26th January.  Best of Luck!

Meantime, here’s a cheeky wee recipe from the book courtesy of Lisa

raw food stir fry

Stir No Fry

1 Red Pepper
1 Yellow Pepper
1 courgette
1 red onion
½ cabbage
Handful bean sprouts

Dressing:
½ c sesame oil
¼ c tamari
small piece of red chilli
2 dates
juice of 1 lime

Slice red and yellow peppers and onion, julienne carrots and courgettes. Put in a bowl and add shredded cabbage and bean sprouts.  For the dressing, blend sesame oil, tamari, lime juice, chilli and dates ‘til smooth. Pour over vegetables and mix. Leave for about an hour. This allows the vegetables to soften and absorb the flavours.

Chicken Stir Fry

Chicken pieces
1 carrot, julienned
1 Red Pepper
1 courgette, julienned
1 Yellow Pepper
1 Onion
2 Garlic Clove
2 packs of Black Bean Soy Sauce
Egg Noodles

Place 2 tbsp of oil into a large wok and fry the chicken until browned. Slice the peppers, onion and garlic finely. Add to wok and fry for a further 2-3 minutes.  Add the black bean sauce and stir altogether. Cook the egg noodles according to packet – usually in a large saucepan of boiling water for around 4-5 minutes. Toss with rest of stir fry and serve.

Enjoy

Oh and I love the box for comments entitled ‘Gie’s yer chat’! Any readers south of the border may need a translation though 😉 Unless they are English aliens like me who sneaked across the border 10 years ago and no one has noticed yet…..

Now that I’ve cracked raw cleaning, http://www.enjo.co.uk using cold water only – I am mad keen to start adding one raw meal a day, that all our family would enjoy, as a prelimary to cleaning up our internal territory a bit more too. Wonderful help for everyone, this year especially, as we progress towards the opportunity that more and more photon activity brings with it and the earth moves fully into the photon belt in 2012. Receiving this bio-light will be so much easier in a simpler (ie less toxic) body. Good luck everyone!

I have to wonder if using a dehumidifier might not yield results? (though much slower, of course)
