There’s no such thing as a raw food diet

Have you noticed I’ve veered very far off ever using the phrase ‘raw food diet‘ on this blog?

I have.

The truth is I hate the word diet.  Hate it hate it hate it.

This isn’t a diet.

It’s a lifestyle baby!

It’s a way of life.

A way of living hardcore!

A way of making the connection between what goes in and how you feeeeel!

It’s knowing that at the most basic level that you are what you eat.

You feel how you eat.

You look how you eat.

Your body IS more than a temple.  It’s your bloody consciousness vehicle.  Ha ha!  Oh.my.god.  Did I actually just type that?

Moving on.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to use the word diet because it carries way too many negative connotations.  Yeah for sure it’ll work similar to a ‘diet’ in that you’ll likely lose a bit of excess poundage and look a bit more sexy and all.  But.  Once that shizzle happens something more beautiful takes place.  It becomes a lifestyle.  A way of life!

You experience joy, connection, bliss even!  You know how to feel amazing.  Lighter.  Happier.

How many ‘diets’ do that?

Above all I believe raw food to be a philosophy but then, I’m kinda in to philosophy so I would say that.

Viewing the raw food diet as less of a diet and more of a lifestyle actually helps you to succeed on this journey. You see, mindset is sooooooooo important.  If you see this as a diet, with all the connotations that ‘diet’ holds, namely restriction, limitation and going hungry, then you’ll project that on to the raw foods.

If you see it as a way of life, you’ll embrace it as more of a long-term journey than a short-term fix!

So start today, see the raw food lifestyle as it is, a way of life rather than a diet.

I’ll wager it becomes an extra 72.91% more enjoyable if you do!
