Here is a delicious, sextastic, raw chocolate orange protein cake JUST.FOR.YOU. cos I love you so much…and so does Ros. Ros donated this recipe and she is a yummy mummy and a half – literally and metaphorically cos she’s preggars you see?
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this. I’m literally drooling over my keyboard…
Chocolate Orange Protein Cake
60g raw cacao butter, grated (or cut small)
30g raw almond butter
30g raw cacao liquor, grated
Gently melt together in a double boiler, or in a bowl sitting over hot water.
Put the following into your blender
1 washed organic satsuma, including half the skin
Small dash orange extract
2 tbsp raw carob powder
2 tbsp raw coconut sugar (or use xylitol or other sweetener of choice)
½ tbsp manuka honey
2 tbsp hemp protein powder
2 tbsp mesquite
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp purple corn
Then add the melted ingredients into the blender and blend, blend, blend. Your blender may get stuck, if so, use the plunger. Plop it out into a clingfilm or greasproof paper lined mould and put into the fridge to set for at least a few hours, before turning it out and slicing into small pieces and savouring every bit.
With what is left stuck in the blender, add some coconut milk and water and blend to make a choc milkshake, the maker’s reward! It’s like one of those thick shakes you used to get as a child if you were really good and your Mum took you to the Golden Arches….oh how times change eh?!
