“We are electrical creatures way before we are chemical creatures” David Wolfe

Today I got my grounding kit woo hoo!  What the hell is a grounding kit?  More to the point, what is grounding?  Well, when we ground, we access the planet’s powerful, amazing and mostly overlooked natural healing energy which anyone has access to at any time just by touching the earth (without shoes which insulate us from this energy field). Throughout most of evolution humans walked barefoot and slept on the ground, largely oblivious to the fact that the surface of the Earth contains limitless healing energy.  Science has discovered this energy as free-flowing electrons constantly replenished by solar radiation and lightning strikes. Few people know it, but the ground provides a subtle electric signal that maintains health and governs the intricate mechanisms that make our bodies work.

Modern lifestyles have disconnected us from this energy and this physical disconnection from the Earth creates abnormal physiology and contributes to inflammation, pain, fatigue, stress and poor sleep.  By reconnecting to the Earth, symptoms are rapidly relieved and even eliminated.

I discovered the benefits of grounding about a year ago having done a bit of research and reading the book ‘Earthing‘ thoroughly convinced me of the healing properties of grounding (totally recommended read).  I do make every effort I can to connect barefoot to the earth, especially while hula hooping 🙂

Apparently Seneca (my favourite Stoic philosopher) walked about with no shoes on, even marching over frosty terrain and was never cold or complaining of illness!  Random unimportant factoid for you there – read Seneca’s works, he’s amazing!

So if you want to access this amazing energy field, go outside, take off your shoes and run about for half an hour or so each day.  Or, if like me, you don’t have time (yet) to run about all day outside and you live in Baltic conditions (Glasgow) you can always buy a grounding mat which you can plug in to the earth using a grounding rod or a plug socket (check to see it’s earthed first using one of these) and gain instant access to the earth’s magical healing energetic field.  I got the grounding mat for using while at your desk (it helps to release the build up of EMF radiation) and also the sheet for the bed.  Can’t wait to get an amazing sleep tonight!

I bought my kit from the fabulous Mr Nash of Aggressive Health – contact him for more details!
