I’m feeling all philosophical today. I’ve been on this whole raw food journey thing for 1729 days and boy have I learned a thing or twelve. I’ve been all round the houses let me tell you. I’ve been there, done that, bought every T-shirt and its dog. There’s been stupendous highs, ridiculous lows, tears, tantrums, smoothie stains that won’t come out, detox, retox and everything in between.
And I wouldn’t change the whole damn thing for the world.
But here’s what I have to share with you today. Raw food philosophy but without the beard. Actually, when I was out with my mum for lunch the other day she actually offered me her tweezers at the restaurant table so that I could go and attend to my facial hair! Can you actually believe that woman? Thanks Mum. You’re so going in a home by the way. Just kidding. (Totally not kidding by the way).
Moving on.
I know I’m still walking this path. Just like you. We’re all at different stages on our journey. And I still have much to discover. I remember Kate Magic talking about how it’s like the layers of an onion that just keep peeling away. That’s what I find to be true about this path. The more raw I eat, the more raw I get. The more real. My true nature unfolds.
My advice to you is to let go trying to control this whole thing because it’s not going to happen.
Newsflash: you are not in control of this process.
What is the process? A natural shift, an evolution towards healthier eating.
It could take years. It could take forever!
It’s totally worth it!
This is happening of its own volition. You don’t have to worry yourself about doing or not doing something.
All you have to concern yourself with is this.
Continue to eat raw food when you feel like it.
Let go of using your mind to control this process.
Now relax.
Let the rest take care of itself.
Because it will.
I promise you.
Now go make a smoothie and dance around in your underwear to this. I actually insist.
