I’ve been meaning to try Pacari for a while, particularly since they’ve had rave reviews as being a really high quality raw chocolate. Pacari are an Ecuadorian company, dedicated to making premium quality organic chocolate.
I was a little put off by the price but decided, fuck it, I’m worth £3.99 of orgasmic chocolatey goodness, right?
So glad I did. Let me tell you, this stuff is the raw chocolate shizzle! The quality of the chocolate is so good. It tastes really rich, decadent (whatever that means) and a lot like ‘normal’ chocolate. A dark ‘normal’ chocolate. You know what I mean.
They do a range including spirulina, maca, and blueberries. The one I bought had blueberries in it. Quite bitty but bursting full of flavour. I would just eat a plain bar of this stuff. It doesn’t really melt in your mouth (which is what I like) but has a good solid bite to it. It’s still quite creamy even though it’s so dark. Very easy to find yourself with an empty chocolate wrapper.
Ingredients: cacao beans, canesugar, blueberries, sunflower lecithin.
Cost: £3.99 for 50g (not bad in comparison to other raw chocolate bars) but I got it for £3.69. Either the till was broken or I mis-heard the woman and paid her what I wanted… Available at Wholefoods and Real Foods and probably a whole range of online places.
Definitely give this one a try!
