Juice mania! This morning I had my GREEEEEEN juice – 1 cucumber, 1 apple, head of celery, 2 handfuls of watercress, spinach, rocket, knob ginger and 1/4 lemon.
After that I had a gorgeous Jason Vale juice called Cellulite Buster. It was so gorgeous I made two! Jason has loads of juicing books, I have the Keeping it Simple book and it totally rocks! If you don’t have a juicer you can simply blend the ingredients and strain through a nut mylk bag. This one was 4 sticks celery, 1 pink/red grapefruit, 2 pears and 2 apples top with chopped mint. Simply orgasmic.
Then had half a honeydew melon blended. This is probably my favourite thing at the moment. Er, then banana and date smoothie and another banana and strawberry smoothie.
YES it’s more bloody sweet potatoes. This is the last of my big bag so no more sweet potato soups for a while. Anyway I wanted to perfect a recipe after the dull one the other day. This was nice and based on a recipe by my lovely friend Anabrese.
2 sweet potatoes, 2 tomatoes, 1/2 red pepper, 1tsp cumin, 1 tsp paprika, 1 clove garlic, 1/2 avo, handful coriander, pinch salt – blend. I stood and laughed out loud for a bit at this photo. It’s so retarded. I’m such a great camera person ha ha! I reckon there’s a few photographers quaking in their boots right now. Promise to get a bit better at picture taking…
This was dinner and it was AMAZING. Stole it from the bbc website. 1 tomato, peeled and chopped, 1/2 red pepper, chopped fine, 1/4 cucumber, chopped fine, 2 spring onions, chopped fine, 1 tbsp paprika paste, 1 sprig chopped mint, 1 tbsp flax oil, 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar, dash salt. Mix in to spiralised courgetti. Someone asked me how you get courgetti – this is how…
It’s a great contraption called a spiraliser. You can get it online, I got mine from Amazon. They’re really useful for making fancy shapes and sexifying your dinner. Rod tasted a bit and said it would be good on top of a kebab 🙂
Today I cycled 12 miles and did some rebounding and hula-hooping. I signed myself up for a 10k but in typical “me” fashion I have decided not to do it. This is for two reasons really. No, three. 1. I didn’t give myself enough time to train. 2. I’ve decided that cycling is far more enjoyable as you get more of a work out and get to see stuff and it doesn’t give you as many injuries (or wrinkles apparently). 3. The 10k course was too damn hilly! I’m not saying I’ve given up running but I’d prefer to run on flatter ground and not over-do it.
Cycling is actually the best fun ever. Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to get in to it!
More hula-hooping today barefoot! It has to be barefoot or it’s no good 🙂 No, seriously, walking barefoot on the ground is a fab thing to do. I think it tunes us in to the earth…kinda like cows (see this). Rod did film me doing some but it’s forty million megabytes so couldn’t upload it. I’d like to make the blog more interactive with videos.
Two more songs of the day woo hoo!
