I’M JUICY, JUICY JUICY JUICY

By Emma Mar 7 2

I am bloody awesome.  TODAY is DAY 1 of my juicy juicy mad pure mental JUICE FEAST.  This one is particularly good because it’s not just me but a whole barrage of gorgeous juicers taking part from anything from 1 to 7 days!  How awesome is that?  If you wanna join in here is the facebook group where all juicy exploits will be revealed 🙂  It’s really nice to have other people doing it with you not just for motivational purposes but cos you can steal their recipes 🙂

I’ve had some adventures today I tell thee.  You know from earlier blog shenanigans about my obsession with spring water (as opposed to tap liquid) and today I decided to go check out the Spout Well in Ceres, Fife.  A long way to go granted but I have this obsession with finding the uber spring, the ultimate spring water with a super low TDS reading.  Anyway I set off early doors and somehow managed to take fifteen billion wrong turns and ended up arse end of EVERYWHERE in Scotland.  Hilarious.  Finally got to Ceres and couldn’t find the well but thankfully a lovely old woman remembered an other older woman telling her about a well she used to go collect water from when she was wee.  How cool is that?  So she directed me and I found it:

spout well ceres fife

spouty spouty

The TDS (total dissolved solids) reading is 143 which is still very good but lower would be a wee bitty better.  The water tastes lovely so that’s me sorted for some lush spring water for a wee while…

On the way back I was lucky enough to get lost again and found myself (haha that’s funny) in Falkland which has a really nice ORGANIC farm shop called Pillars and Hercules.

They do some magical organic veggies so I stopped off for some magical greeeeeeeeeeeeeens for my juicing.

Check it oot

organic carrots fife

ya wee durty

organic salad pillars and hercules

ya wee beauty

And I saw this, Claytonia, which is also called Winter Purslane or Miner’s Lettuce.

claytonia winter purslane

ya wee claytonia

Soooo I made my first juice for my juice feast:

Claytonia Surprise

1 cucumber

1 head celery

2 pears

3 handfuls Claytonia (use whatever mad green you fancy)

green juice

juicy juicy

Beautiful

Just as well I’m on a juice feast cos I have 47 billion things to go do right now.  So I’ll leave you with this:

Charlatans actually are my favourite band EVER…not a lot of people know that

AND YOU SHINE LIKE A STAR wooooop! LOVE IT
