This blog post is brought to you from cloud cacaoland*!
Woop 1st of July – AWESOME! I love the first of the month – it’s like a brand new slate, chance to plan a whole month’s wort h of living and doing stuff. This month is going to be bloody awesome as I finish my first set of classes and go to Croatia on hols. Soooo looking forward to that, we’re hoping to do a cruise or something. Will need to get ordering some hand luggage worthy raw stuff to take with me and blogify my wise travelling foodstuffs. Uncle travelling Matt stylee.
Today I had an awesome italian bread made with flax, buckwheat, basil, tomato which I dehydrated over night and enjoyed with some chopped tomatoes, garlic, basil, ginger, olive oil, salt, red onion and sprinkled some raw vegan cheesey sprinkles on top which I got from Viva Pure. Awesome.
I made THEEEE most insane raw chocs in my space invader moulds. I literally dumped everything I could get my hands on in to the mix. Sometimes I’m a bit random with my choc making and it seemed like a good idea at the time but then I wanted to crazy dance round the living room. Raw cacao can be quite speedy, not obviously a good thing when you’re wanting to remain centred and focused but when you’re quite happy for your head to float across the room while you think silly nonsense then it’s great! Also not the best for having before writing blog posts 🙂
Here’s what I put in the choc – raw cacao butter, coconut butter, cacao powder, carob powder, spirulina, crystal manna, ground up gojis, bee pollen, reishi, lucuma, suma and he shou wu. HE SHOU WUUUUUU AH HAH, take it now or leave it AH HAH, now it’s all we get AH HAH, nothing promised no regretttts – you see? FAR TOO MUCH SPACE INVADER CHOCS !
Last night I had an awesome Italian inspired dinner – not sure where this Italian theme is coming from…perhaps it’s a message from the YOUNiverse that I need to go to Italy for a long weekend and eat grapes fed to me by 3 gorgeous men in loin cloths? Yes, I think that’s probably what it is…
Anyway – just a tomato sauce – toms, red pepper, miso, acv, salt, basil and ginger food processed and chucked over spiralised courgettie with some pine nuts thrown in for good measure. Tasty taste-y!
Sprout watch – ok I said I’d do sprout watch so here it is. Man too exciting – check it out – you might not be able to contain yourself!
Obviously it’ll be a bit more exciting tomorrow… I soaked all of these for 12 hours in pure water then drained and left over night then rinsed this morning. Sprouting is the new 40 baby! Going to sprout some chickpeas cos I promised Rod some raw falafels and hummus. He is the hummus whore, can eat a gallon to himself every day! Oh that reminds me, Brian Clement was talking about raw pirates, no wait, shut up Emma! Raw hummus that was given to sailors to help stop scurvy and give them protein. There you go!
So that’s about me for today – tomorrow will be 11 questions I ask raw foodies from the lovely Anabrese woop woop stay tuned.
p.s. promise I won’t have as much choc tomoz 🙂 did think about just pressing delete on this blog then thought it’s important to share your cacao-fuelled jibberings now and again… paint the whole world with some cacao do do do do do do do
this is my ‘i want to eat raw chocolate and dance in my pants round the living room’ song
and this is my ‘i’ve had too much cacao and need to dance or else i’ll explode’ song
* cloud cacao land is Trade Mark Robert John Sutherland, on loan to me. If you want to borrow it you need to give me some chocolate and I’ll pass it on to Robert…promise!
HILARIOUS!!!!! x
