Hello hello

Happy Tuesday! Thanks to everyone who gave me recommendations via the blog or facebook for other books to read.  I now have a new wishlist for amazon! 🙂

Wow I am in agony today.  I decided that yesterday was going to be my fitness day where I’d try out some of my new dvds!  I did a bit of rebounding then had a crazy idea to sprint across the garden (it’s quite big).  Bloody hell sprinting is harder than I thought.  I gave up on that pretty quick and as I had my ipod on just started dancing outside instead.  I do love fresh air when I’m exercising.  Came in and decided to try out a couple of my kickboxing dvds.  One was for abs and ass and the other for general overall get fit.  Rod came through after hearing my screams from the living room.  I didn’t realise my stomach muscles were so lame!  Rebounding is great but I’ve realised that if I want to tone really well then I need to combine it with actual proper exercise moves.

I think that’s where I get bored.  I like rebounding because it’s easy to jump about and be an idiot on a trampoline and I love dancing for the same reason but without the trampoline.  Having to do stomach crunches and lunges bores me to tears (literally) so I lose interest.  For that reason I’m glad I bought the two 10 minute routine workout dvds, even I can hold my attention span for 10 minutes…

I also bought Tonya Zavasta‘s Rawsome Flex which is a facial muscle exercise routine.  Tonya is a very beautiful 50-something woman who advocates raw food and yoga for beauty.  Rod walked in as I was doing one where you have to repeatedly suck your thumb at the side of your mouth…”What are you doing?”

So yes that was yesterday.

Today I did a bit of rebounding but kept it light to allow my muscles to get over the trauma of yesterday.  Here’s my rebounding song of the day – it has sweary words

Made the mother of all smoothies today, this one is called Lydia.  Don’t ask me where these names come from, they just pop in to my head after I’ve made it. She is bubblegum pink, hubba bubba 🙂

1/2 carton Dr Martin’s Coco Milk, 6 strawberries, 2 handful red grapes, 2 bananas mmmmmm

So tonight Matthew I decided to try and make some ‘proper’ raw food.  I made this which I called Vincent Edward, starting to get quite concerned with this name thing now!

1 tomato peeled, 1/4 cucumber peeled,  1/2 spring onion, 1/2 yellow pepper, 5 or 6 mint leaves – chop all of these very, very finely and put in a bowl.

Add 1 teaspoon hemp oil (or olive), 1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 teaspoon curry paste and pinch of salt

MIXXXXX – eat – yum

I decided to get even sexier and make a sweet potato tagine (Teresa Tagine) for dinner – this was really yummy!

Chop 1 courgette, 1/2 yellow pepper, 4 baby sweetcorn, 1/2 celery, 1 tomato (peeled) – throw in bowl

Blend 2 tomatoes, 1/4 red onion, 1 garlic, 1 sweet potato, 1/2 avocado, pinch cinnamon, 2 cardamon pods, pinch chilli flakes/powder, pinch coriander seeds, pinch paprika, pinch himalayan pink salt, 1/2 cup water.  You can blend it a bit longer till it warms slightly.  Cover the chopped veggies and mix thoroughly.  Top with coriander sprigs.

Ta daaaaah

Tagine

Off to watch some Dylan Moran with the husband, ooh I’ve still not announced my exciting news.  The time doesn’t seem right. Maybe tomorrow 🙂

Have fun x
