hey hey hey hey HEY! I am having the best everything this week. Do you know why? You’ll never guess, or maybe you will from the title of this post, but the answer is GREEEEEEEEEEEEN! Green literally is THE answer to everything. I was locked up in the house for EONS with the snow and noticed I wasn’t feeling so great. I felt I’d been overdoing the raw goodies a bit too much too so having taken a bit of my own advice I decided to UP the greens. It never fails to surprise me how much you can forget your own wisdom. Does that make sense? I know what works for me but sometimes I forget.
Soooooooooo I have been having a GARGANTUAN (full vitamix jug size) green smoothie every day for the last week and oh my god I feel AMAZING. But get this, I’ve discovered an actual formula which is guaranteed to set you on FRICKIN’ FIRE BABY (not literally…although maybes have a fire extinguisher around just in case). Here it is. I joined the gym. Sounds dull but actually is very good to move yo’ ass baby! I forgot (AGAIN…b12 anyone?) how good it feels to move about and exercise. It’s amazing but only if you have proper TUNES to get you going. The gym is pish without good tunes so get what works for you and go for it. Exercising outside in sub-zero temps is not for me so the gym fills that lovely void. Obviously you don’t have to join a gym, the underlying message I’m trying to get across is raw is one thing, raw plus movement is a whole other level.
ANYWAY! My formula ergo is G + E x M = O
GREEEEEEEEENS + EXERCISE with MUSIC = OH MY GODDESS
So yes Green Smoothies. So easy, so quick and soooo filling. So nutritious. So happy 🙂
So here is my FAVE green smoothie recipe of the week:
1/2 punnet blueberries
3-4 sticks celery
1 tsp vanilla powder – this ingredient MAKES the green smoothie swear to god!
3-4 TBSP of Green powders (hard to get actual organic leafy greens round here) I use Spirulina, Greener Grasses, E3 Renew Me
1 TBSP Hemp Protein Powder (optional)
I also add in some other paraphernalia such as Vitamin D3 drops, pine pollen, ground flaxseed, soaked chia seeds to gloop it up. Rod calls me the slime monster…whatever.
So get greeenifying your life people, you won’t regret it.
Here is this morning’s smoothie: as above but with fennel, knob ginger, 2 TBSP soaked chia and 2 TBSP ground flax. Soooo thick I had to eat it with a spooooon.
