The sexy people at My Food have brought out a delicious range of raw food to add to their existing diet plans. When you sign up for the Raw Blitz Body Plan package, they send you two deliveries of raw food, to cover breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for five days, all fresh and ready to eat.
I’ve mentioned before that I’m a bit of a ‘blend and go’ girl, most of my raw food creations being smoothies or piles of mush/goo. For proof check out the RFS facebook page.
Truth be told I was really looking forward to receiving the My Food packages for a bit of a change from the smoothie/mush/goo raw food I’m used to eating. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE what I eat but now and again it’s nice to refresh my memory with just what’s possible with raw food and experience something really different.
I wasn’t disappointed.
My first delivery was jam-packed full of copious boxes and packets, filled with delicious meals including Sundried Tomato Bolognaise (best gods-damn thing I’ve ever eaten in my life), Moroccan Carrot Salad with Coriander Guacamole, Coconut Curry with Lime infused Vegetables, Veggie Chilli with Pitta Bread Cracker, Waldorf Salad with Tahini Dressing, Sushi Rolls with Mango & Sunflower Seed Salad as well as Green Smoothies, Granola, Seed mix, Energy balls, tea, fruit and more…
Oh lordy, I don’t think I’ve eaten this much amazing food since my visit to New York earlier this year.
Let me start by saying that this food actually is some of the most amazing raw food I’ve ever tasted. Ever. The recipes are by no means your typical “gourmet” raw food full of heavy nut-laden combo–abombos that leave you feeling bloated and heavy! The dishes are light, fresh, zesty, alive, stupidly nutritious and they taste utterly fantastic. I was actually blown away by some of the recipes and the dressings!
The portions are also huge, quite a few of the dishes I shared (not grudgingly, honest) with my love and we both loved them and felt satisfied afterwards! After the meal that is.
I honestly can’t fault the food or the portion size, the variety or the creativity that goes in to the menu. It’s inspired and to me, well worth it. With the food you get a menu, telling you what to eat on what day but to be honest I just ate what I wanted when I wanted, including having the granola at night time. What can I say? I’m a rule-breaker! The food stayed fresh and tasty and actually ended up lasting me a whole week by the time I got through it all.
You want me to shut up now and show you some pictures? Here you go, just some of what was included. Truth be told I was moving house at the time (which made the food really handy) so I didn’t always have my camera to hand. Click ze link below…
My Food were inspired to introduce the raw food plan after trying some raw food for themselves and feeling the benefits. They’re keen to spread the raw food word to show people that raw food is far from bland and tasteless.
Whilst all the food isn’t organic, the dried fruits, seeds, nuts, oils and sprouts are organic and the rest of the food is sourced through a local cooperative as much as possible. For those eco-warriors out there, the packaging is made from sustainable sources and they have a whole section on their website dedicated to how to recycle their products, some are quite genius!
I really like this company, I love the people and I love what they do and I think it’s just fabulous that they’re getting such amazing raw food out there to the masses. I asked Antonia at My Food about what she loves about My Food:
We love food, we love being healthy, we love inspiring people to eat good food, we love sharing their happiness when they make lifestlye changes and pretty much everything!
Even more awesome is that you can score yourself a £15 discount on the Raw Blitz Body Plan package by quoting ‘SCO15‘ at checkout.
Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!
