what’s LOVE got to do with it?

By Emma May 22 0

Man alive what a day. The sun has split all the pavements and continues to do so even tho it’s nearly 9pm!  Amazing, I love it!!  Did get a bit pink tho…

Started the day magically as per with a lush green smoothie (pineapple, dandelion, sorrel, mint) and a short bike ride.  Managed to send some German tourists in totally the opposite direction of the West Highland Way – what is it with me and that bloody way? Either I lose it or make other people lose it. Brilliant.  How can  you lose your way on an actual Way?  It’s got ‘way’ in the title….

I’ve been wanting to upload a vid for a while of me rebounding to show just how super easy it is to shake yo thang!  There is no excuse for not exercising when it’s this much fun!  I’ve been rebounding now for about 2 years on and off.  Sometimes I go on for a right good work out and other days I just go on for a bounce and a dance.

Rebounding is such a fun form of exercise, it’s easy to do, you can do it pretty much anywhere (I like it outside) and it gets your lymph MOOOOOVING.  For that reason it’s a great detoxifier and even 20 mins a day is enough to get benefits. It doesn’t put as much stress on your joints as you’d get from running or jogging on hard surfaces and apparently it affects every joint and cell in the body equally because of the gravitational pull.

Anyway so I did a wee vid and I’d like to say that the skirt I’m wearing is the reason for the mental sideways hula hooping and it falling to the ground so quick!  I can do it for ageeeeees I promise 🙂   Also, please don’t take this as any kind of bloody instructional exercise dvd and sue me when you fall off the rebounder.  I’m a professional at jumping about like an idiot and have a Masters in arsey jumping and dancing from the University of Amazing.  Seriously tho, take it easy.  Actually I should film my mum on one, that’s hilarious.

Woo so after that hilarity I had a yumbo smoothie – 2 banana, 2 tbsp chia seeds, 1 tbsp gojis and agave!  I’m calling it Rusty cos it’s the colour of rust.

rusty on the stairway to HEAVEN baby!

for late lunch i made curried guacamole which i devoured with onion bread and dill & kimchi crackers – super amazing yum.

Guacamole – 1 avo, 1 tomato, 1 tsp curry powder, 1 tsp bee pollen, 1/8 red onion, pinch salt, garlic, handful coriander

curried guac with cracks that make you wanna quack cos they're so whack

Then something really exciting happened that I’m not allowed to tell anyone.

Got a bit sun burnt today – mostly cos we got lost in a field trying to find something…see above.

Anyway yes there is one more thing I want to rant about…

I blurbbed a bit the other day about agave-gate and wanting to find a sweetner that wasn’t going to play havoc with me and I think I might’ve found it!  Yay!  I ordered the Ojio clear agave from Raw Living and tried it out for the first time last night.  I did a taste test first comparing it to the two agaves I had in the back of the cupboard and the first thing I noticed was the lack of a chemically taste with the Ojio version.  It’s a really clean cut taste and has a nice depth of sweetness in comparison to the others.  What I wanted to check though was the after-effects so having made an almond milk and a flaxy pudding using it last night and a chocco pudding earlier I’m pleased to say I didn’t get any kind of wired feeling that I usually get with agave.  Definitely giving this agave 10 out of 10. It’s also a totally gorgeous bottle!

gave me agave

So what else? Oooooh yes, look what I got today from Vicky at Live Native?

live native

It’s a couple of samples from her range of organic RAW hand made skin care including moisturiser and essential earth cleanser!  I can’t wait to try these out and spill the beans on them!

I also got a super duper amazing delivery of raw tasty treats from the loveliest lady in the whole universe – you know who you are!  So yeah – this has been a day of total ecstacy start to finish.

Here’s a vid – I used to love love love love dancing to this when I went out clubbing. Had a bit of a RnB fetish for a while you know…
