Hi hi! Quick question for you. Before you decided to ‘go raw’ did you sit down and have a good think about why and what benefits you expected to obtain? Did you ponder the challenges and how you’d deal with them? No? Me either. But I think it’s so critical. Before you embark on any major life change normally you’ve at least sat and thought about it or discussed it with others right? So what would make this any different?
So here, from my gorgeous sexadelic book ‘So You Want To Be A Raw Foodist?‘ are some insights in to what I perceive as the main considerations before you embark on a raw food lifestyle.
-
Why have I chosen to be a raw foodist?
-
What is it about raw food that excites me?
-
What benefits do I hope to achieve?
-
What reassures me I am on the right path?
-
What is potentially holding me back?
-
How can I prepare for the journey?
-
What challenges might I encounter?
-
What skills do I have or need to acquire to deal with these challenges?
-
What sources of support and encouragement can I rely on?
-
What sources of support and encouragement do I need to seek out?
-
What promise will I make about how I will treat myself when times get tough?
So I encourage you to take the time NOW with a pen and paper and give consideration to these. Even if you are already on the path and well and truly established in the raw food lifestyle it doesn’t hurt to remind yourself now and again of just WHY you are doing this.
Go for it!
I go in to more detail in the book however if you feel as if you need further input and help with this then why not contact me at emma@rawfoodscotland.co.uk and we can talk about a 1:1 coaching session for you?
Have an amazing, AMAZING day!
