I’ve always preferred to refer to the ‘raw food lifestyle’ rather than the ‘raw food diet‘. For lots of reasons.
Diet implies one way of doing things. One set of rules. Obligations. Constrictions. Guilt. Quick fix. A plan to follow, religiously.
Negative connotations galore.
Yawn. That’s about as exciting as Cliff Richard at a church fête.
Lifestyle, now that’s a totally different kettle of cacao. It’s the way you live, isn’t it? How you roll, baby! No two people have the same life, right? Lifestyle suggests something that is suited to you and the shit you got goin’ on. More exciting, oui?
Let’s face it, anything with the word life in it is usually a winner. You know, living foods and all that. Oh, apart from life in prison obviously. That’s clearly not good at all. Damn. Wish I hadn’t thought of that now. Blame my mother, she’s got me totally fucking hooked on Law & Order. Jesus.
The Raw Food ‘Journey’ is reasonably good because it’s quite descriptive, we know there is no destination. But yeah, journey is lame and a bit well, saddo. “Check me on my raw food journey”.
No. Not sexy at all.
We want sexy.
So, why don’t we call it the Raw Food Adventure? YEAH! I fucking like it.
Adventure: an unusual, hazardous, exciting experience. A plight in to the unknown. Unchartered territory.
Whoa! Now we’re rocking!
Adventure because it’s full of dragons to be slain, wizards to be encountered and wise witches (that’s me, obviously). Magical cacao potions to make you fly. Maca potions to make you fall in love. Goddesses that will help you in your quest, Gods that will hinder. Battles to be won and lost. Faith that the good will out. Maps to help you on your journey.
Doesn’t that sound like something you want to be part of?
The best news is that YOU are the hero in this tale. You are the explorer, the swashbuckler, the voyager, the madcap pioneer. Who knows where your crusade will take you? Only you can find out!
It’s all an adventure, baby. Welcome to the party!
