I’ll tell you the first thing I love about these, it’s the big pair of black high heels on the front of the packet! I have never eaten food that came in a packet with high heels on the front before. Hang on have I? Nope definitely not. Crazy days!
I got these little pumpkin seed gems – soaked and sprouted, marinated and dehydrated – from Viva Pure for £3.95 for 85g. It’s nice to have something handy that you can snack on and these are just the pumpkin shaped ticket. They are nice and crunchy, packing a powerful chipotle punch.
So what’s so good about pumpkin seeds? Well, they’re a natural source of carbohydrates, amino acids and unsaturated fatty acids. They contain most of the B vitamins, along with C, D, E, and K as well as minerals including calcium, potassium, and phosphorous. It’s not that easy to munch on them (unless they’re a base of a tasty dip of course) but when they’re marinaded and dehydrated they take on a whole other level of nom-dom that you just can’t put down!
These pumpkin seeds are ridiculously high in zinc and zing and great to enjoy with your hands straight from the bag or sprinkled on top of salads or dips like guacamole!!
