Woo woo it’s Monday. I’m becoming rather pish at blogging over the weekend. Think I’ll give myself weekends off as I’m usually running around mental. I’ve had the best weekend ever! I always say that. But that’s because each day does tend to be pretty amazing in the land of Emma. I caught up with some amazing old friends and went roller booting! Best fun in the whole universe. Forgot how much it hurts your bum though.« Continue »
Archives for March 2010
Happy Thursday! Sorry for the crap pictures today, camera trauma.
Today I made the best soup I’ve ever, ever made. It’s quite sad that I’m this excited about some soup but seriously it was so super yum! Here you go, here’s Brian. If you were paying attention you might have spotted Brian the green smoothie yesterday, this is a different Brian and is called Brian for a very good reason. Anyway:« Continue »
Ooops not been blogging in a couple of days! I’ve been away with work again – that’s my excuse.
Soooo what I want to blether about today is GIVING. I signed myself up for this 29 day giving challenge. I did it once before a year or so ago and about half way through I ended up giving…up haha! I guess my motivation and inspiration waned and that was that plus I didn’t have facebook then! Perhaps another reason it didn’t work out last time is because I hadn’t made my intention public enough. Now that I’m facebooking my challenge (and gifts) there’s real accountability! Today is Day 4 and I think I’m just« Continue »
Yesterday, while at the lovely tea shop with the lovely raw ladies, we were discussing raw food and sexiness. I’ve touched on this briefly before in a previous blog but I thought I’d make this a full-blown sexy blog.
First of all I should clarify what I mean. I guess when it comes to raw food and sexiness I mean two things:
1. What raw food can do for your body and mind = sexy
2. The perception about what raw food is = unsexy« Continue »
I’m just back home from a trip up North to Elgin. I do love my job but unfortunately it entails travelling across Scotland and England from time to time. I say unfortunately. It never used to be an issue for me. In fact, I quite liked it. A nice break away, nice hotel, nice food, break from the norm etc. That was until I went raw.
Before I begin writing about the joys of travelling « Continue »
Spring is definitely in the air! Today I decided I’d exercise on my rebounder OUTSIDE! Amazing. The sun was shining and the fresh air was so invigorating while bouncing away. Luckily nobody can see me, just as well really as I tend to throw out some pretty dodgy moves ha ha! I think I’ll continue to do it outside as it’s so much better, unless it’s raining of course! Actually that might be quite fun…but a bit slippy hmm…« Continue »
Happy Tuesday! Thanks to everyone who gave me recommendations via the blog or facebook for other books to read. I now have a new wishlist for amazon! 🙂
Wow I am in agony today. I decided that yesterday was going to be my fitness day where I’d try out some of my new dvds! I did a bit of rebounding then had a crazy idea to sprint across the garden (it’s quite big). Bloody hell sprinting is harder than I thought. I gave up on that pretty quick « Continue »
Don’t ask me why but on Saturday night I had a dream about this very blog post. I’ve no idea what it’s all about but for some reason I’m compelled to write it. In my dream, which wasn’t really a dream but more of a lucid dream, I heard myself tell myself (that sounds stupid) that I had to write this blog about the ten books that have changed my life. I then proceeded to tell myself what these books were, sort of reminding myself in case I’d forgotten.
So here we go, the ten books that I can categorically state transformed « Continue »
here she is – WOW
- 1 punnet red organic SEEDED grapes (if you can get them, tesco sell them)
- 1 juicy mango – suck the stone after (don’t choke) then your husband will tell you he’s a mango because he’s a man and he’s going out – man-go. feel very honoured to have picked the husband with the direst sense of humour ever…
- 1 big banana (not green cos they suck)
Blend with about 2 cups of pure water
Ta daaaa, then you’ve got Frances. She’s called Frances because she’s got lots of pink polka-dots
Woo what a fab weekend I’ve had. Went down to London on Friday evening and had dinner with my lovely friend Anneliese in Saf. Saf is a raw restaurant in Shoreditch and does some really extravagant raw dishes. It’s quite a lot heavier than what I’m used to, and obviously a bit more complex (not many big bowls with spoons going on).
We had A LOT to eat. I started with the sharing platter. « Continue »
